Why in the course of a tyrant nation, when you have exhausted all petitions, why does it have to lead to war or submission?
Because man doesn't learn from history or the nature of man. When you trust that the law and that the intent of man is always good, then you will find disappointment. A spouse commits adultery, did the law stop that? When a child becomes rebellious and becomes a criminal, did the law stop that? Could those situations been avoided, possibly if the spouse saw the other flirting with another person, or the child not being corrected and not warned for the consequences for crime. Many times these are done but still the divorce or the imprisonment. You must stay on your guard with man. Without the governance of God and the critical reasoning of protecting and assurance of right and wrong. Then debating not arguing the intent, can you avoid the failure of a person's morality. The Bible, movies and books describe temptation toward evil. The avoidance is having a law within, our conscience guiding and not letting feeling and circumstances provoke losing the governance of the heart.
Concerning governing of the nation, The Church and education of our children has been failing all. The education system had gotten rid of anything like the Bible, creation teaching and of morality. So the Bible which brings in a critical thought against evolution and morality and belief in God is rejected because we do not want reason, thought or critical debate to happen. So Socialist and Communist nations can't have power over people who have critical thought, so they steal it while indoctrinating against anything they disagree with. Freedom of speech was to assure the process of critical thinking.
Even the Free press isn't about freedom of thought but sensationalism. They continue to give a narrative, so to quiet information, villianize the opposition and make heroes of the wicked.
The church fell prey to this also, as they didn't critically think and couldn't answer the worlds questions of purpose and creation. Psychology which is based on human nature is good, doesn't recognize evil, especially since it continues to justify gender confusion, and moral confusion such as "Minor attraction" as a new term for Pedophilia. The church had accepted such world base and not God based or the foundation by God's Word the Bible.
Just as the Bible describes over and over again, People who forget their God, His Word, fall prey to live according to what they think is right in their own mind and will justify their evil. Then God has to bring truth back by severe means as famines, earthquakes, moral failure, Gov't Tyranny. All while God sends a prophet to cry "return", but if not, destruction of people and nation.
So man again is in failure. We failed to learn from God, Bible, history or our own reasons for Revolution against Great Britain which then was better than we are today. Evil must be stopped before it starts or gets foothold, that is what our founding fathers understood, they petitioned, and reasoned, but lawless ideology wouldn't have any stop of tyranny, so it ended with Revolution.
The Church has fallen prey to error of scriptures, "For all scripture is given to correct, for reproof, that the man of God can be fully equipped or educated for good works." The church would rather be sensitive to soothe people than a light, to give people salvation and righteousness. They would rather read devotionals because they cannot understand the scriptures. Because of Biblical illiteracy of and neglect of the whole counsel of God the nation is in turmoil. They taught spiritual warfare, but failed to teach of Gov't tyranny and how it begins.
God is God the Word which means to reason, think, this is proven by God saying we were made in His image, we are the only animal which reasons and thinks, and what did Adam do being in God's image, name all the animals and creation. This means he reasoned and gave definitions to everything. The midwives in Egypt, when Egypt wanted the Israelite boys killed, lied. When Rahab took in the spies, she lied to keep Gods spies safe. The Maccabees fought to restore the temple, How did they know what was right, by reason and what is right. They recognized injustice and evil and risked their lives to honor God and for righteousness.
Just as the Amish wear head coverings in misunderstanding of the scriptures, for in the context of 1 Corinthians 11, Paul said, If any be contentious with this "head covering" we have no such custom in the church. So when it comes to the church avoiding Government and not having a voice concerning evil in society, The church ignores the scriptures.
The church is afraid of confrontation and fell in love with the world: its comforts, and tax exempt status. You see this as the church avoids speaking of Gov't evil, John the Baptist didn't and Jesus didn't. "Beware of the leaven of Herod". The church does the social needs of man as food but neglects truth and correction. As the church is to present itself as a beautiful bride for Christ. How is that done? Church leadership is to equip disciples for good works. This means feeding, cleaning, by the Word of God, taking a new person of someone born- again and educating them to be the best God intended them for. The church failed to teach parishioners that man tends to evil which led to the flood, Babylon, rebellion, bad gov't and judgment. Anyone who knows history, tyrannical gov't stops the voice of truth, the Bible, and the church becomes silent, and this leads to immoral living.
God commanded Gov't in the Pentateuch. The gates were the place of Gov't. No one was to stone someone without going to the gate of justice and prove all things by 2 or 3 witnesses.
God created government, Before the flood, mans intent was for evil, after the flood, He commanded a righteous man named Noah to begin government. But because good people didn't obey God to disperse through the earth. Nimrod came, became a bully and tyrant, and the people submitted. He built Babel and the people lived in fear, so they submitted to Nimrod and built a tower against God's command. God destroyed an ungodly Babel. forcing obedience.
God did the same with Egypt, God raised up Moses, to bring Gods people out of tyranny so they can have God's gov't. But mans flesh is weak and disobeys to live for evil. You see this teeter tooter of serving, not serving in the book Judges. God raises up judges so His Gov't would be restored, whether Othniel, Ehud , and Gideon.
In Gideon's case, you see the Midianite nation in power, so tyrannical that Israel had to hide their resources for living. Israel forgot God and loved the idols of the nations and forgot God. So God hands Israel to a tyrant nation to restore His people. That is called discipline. Gideon was hiding in a wine press, preparing the corn for the baking of bread, so he can feed his family. Then God calls him to be a judge. He obeyed God over Midian Gov't, which Gideon had to war against.
America has bowed to Midianite type gov't instead of protecting the family from evil before it begins. If we do not lock the door or educate from the intruder, the evil will come in and devour. This is because we did not protect Truth.

Jesus said, Satan is the god of this world and the church failed to teach Satans adversarial ways to destroy, like being a false Christ.
Democrats and many republicans have played the people for a false Christ, or the government to be that false Christ, that is how Socialism and Communism relates to people, to make the people think they are doing "to save the poor, to stop climate change, to save from virus, we must do this to save the nation, ask any person from a Communist nation and fled here. Just as the depression was the fault of gov't and the people did nothing, so tell me this is being responsible for taking care of your family.
