Jesus is God one person of the trinity

  1. The Hebrew word for God in Gen 1:1 is Elohim, this is a plural word and can be translated “gods”, the single word for God is “El” in Hebrew and is used 235times in scripture,

  2. the singular word for “one” in Hebrew is “Echad”

  3. When God created man and woman, they were to join together and the two shall

    become “one” Gen 2:24 (Echad)

How do two people become one singularly?

  1. Genesis 1:26 says, “And God (Elohim) said, Let us make man in our image, after

our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

  2. Who is God speaking to, If he is speaking to the angels then they can create spiritual beings and create also out of nothing? But if God is speaking to Himself and the other 2 persons of the trinity then, he can speak to them as “us”, and theycan create out of nothing.

  3. Deuteronomy 6:4 says, “Hear, O Israel: The LORD (YHVH) our God (Elohim) is one (Echad) LORD:” Here “Elohim” is the plural God is one in oneness as man is one with a woman. Why didn’t God use the singular word for God “EL” in placeof Elohim, unless he was trying to teach us that He is plural or as Scripture teach triune,

  4. Jehovah witnesses and Mormons claim Jesus as another god. Yet God specifically says in Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

Isaiah 44:8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and

have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
Isa 45:21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Savior; there is none beside me.
Jesus speaks these same words in Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

  1. If Jesus is not God then why is he spoken of as Mighty God in Isaiah 9:6 For

unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

  2. Then why is he called Emmanuel meaning “God with us” God just said, “There is no other God beside him. Is God a liar?

  3. Thomas spoke to Jesus as My Lord and God. If Jesus is not God, then why did he not rip his clothing to prove his humanity like Paul and Barnabus in Acts 14:14- 15?

  1. In John 8 and 10 The Jews claimed they wanted to stone Jesus because he made himself God and equal with God. John 5:17-18

  2. Philippians 2:6 says, “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God”

  3. Why did Jesus ask to be glorified? John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. Yet God says, Isa 42:8 I [am] the LORD: that [is] my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. Why would Jesus ask if he knew God would not share his glory with him, or Is Jesus God and one of thepersons God was speaking to in Genesis as “Us”

  4. Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

This is not speaking about Jesus as a created god, for the scripture would say “Who was MADE the image of the invisible God”. Firstborn means he was made flesh. He God was made flesh; Adam was not God but dust made flesh. This is why begotten is always inbirth and lineage. “Adam begot Cain and Abel.”

The other question is “If Jesus was created then how could all things have been created after him when nothing was created before him, for if all things, then Jesus being a thingcould not have been created for “all” means “all” even himself.

15. Ps 45:6 ¶ Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

Ps 45:7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Hebrews 1:8 says, God is speaking to God that his throne is forever, Heb 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

Heb 1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Why would God call his Son God if he was not God equal and one with Him?

  1. Remember Jesus humbled himself to become a servant even a servant unto death.

Servants learn what their master wants them, so also does a Son learn what his father teaches him. Jesus laid down his authority of deity, to submit, learn and be instructed in his father’s ways. Jesus says, what my father does so also shall the Son. If the father raises the dead, so shall the son. Jesus spoke this in John 5

  2. In Mark 2 The Pharisees were right in saying (Psalm 32:1-2) God only can forgive sins, but did not realize Jesus is God, and said He has right to forgive sin.

  3. This is not to say god the father shall die, but who becomes heir of the Father properties? The Son. Jesus is God because He is rightful heir to his father.

  4. A problem with Jehovah Witnesses is that they do not honor the Father’s command to believe on the Son of God for salvation. Acts 4:12; John 6:29; John 8:24:John 3:16; Matthew 17:5; Mark 9:7; Luke 9:35; Luke 20:13

  5. Jesus taught to Honor, Father, Son and Holy Ghost equal in Baptism.

  1. Peter speaks of the Holy Spirit as a person; in Acts 5 for how can you lie to a substance. If the Holy Spirit was a substance, then how did this substance strike Ananias and Sapphira dead?

  2. John 8:58 Jesus said, “Before Abraham, I Am” the same title Jehovah spoke toMoses at the burning bush. Jesus also reference Abraham, why because in exodus 3, When you reference Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, or Israel, they all coincide, or join to the title, "I AM that (who) I AM" to God. So jesus double emphasizes His deity with the Father.

  3. Even Israelites say Jesus claimed himself as God in the scriptures, and they reject Jesus as messiah for salvation (not all)

  4. Jesus said, “John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.” This is the same title again and if you reject this, then you reject Jesus and salvation. Italics are added in KJV to make the sentence clearer, but really should not be there.

  5. Jesus said, “that God wants you to honor the Son as you do the father John 5:23;you honor the father as God then honor the son as God.

  6. Jesus gives tribute to himself in saying, John 14:1 "Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in me." He is telling them to give him the same honor of deity as you do God.

  7. Acts 3:14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; Who is the Holy one? God

  8. (Acts 4:10-12) Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (KJV)
