MOSES TYPE OF JESUS CHRIST

There are many types in the scriptures, types of flesh, types of Satan, types of God the Father, and types of Jesus Christ. There are many types of Jesus Christ and Moses is just one of them. It is your job to prove whether it is so. I will put parallel scriptures similar between Moses and Jesus.

When Moses was preparing to leave Israel, and place Joshua as the leader to lead the people of Israel into the Promised Land. He spoke these words to them, "The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear, according to all you desired of the LORD your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, nor let me see this great fire anymore, lest I die. And the LORD said to me: What they have spoken is good. I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him. (Deuteronomy 18:15-19)

Moses says this prophet who will come in God’s name “I am”, will come in like manner as Moses. Jesus said “I am” many times in the gospel of John. Search out these scriptures: John 5:43; 6:35, 41, 48, 51; 7:28-29; 8:12, 23, 24, 28, 58; 9:5,9,39; 10:7,9, 11,14, 36; 11:25; 13:13, 19; 14:3, 6, 10,11, 20; 15:1; 18:5, 6, 8; One of the first things between Moses and Jesus is they were both descendants of Abraham. They were both born in tribulation times. When Moses was born Pharaoh looked to kill every boy child of Israel and cast them into the river to drown. Josephus wrote that Pharaohs prophets said a Hebrew would arise to save Israel, Pharaoh thought he was successful. Moses was spared his life, by the grace of God being placed into the river,where Pharaoh’s daughter took Moses as her own child (Moses is pictured here dead going intothe water and became alive being pulled out). Jesus was saved by the grace of God, when a dream came to Joseph to take Mary and the child to Egypt, Herod believed the prophesies of the messiah and thought he succeeded in killing the Messiah. Later when Moses was older he went out to his brothers and killed an Egyptian taskmaster, and the next day, Israel misunderstood what Moses was trying to do to be their deliverer, so they rejected Moses. Israel did the same thing with Jesus, because He came to save Israel from their sin and they refused and crucified Him. Moses then fled for his life, but this was the way for God to call him out of Egypt. Jesus was also called out of Egypt. Moses and Jesus were also spoken of as well pleasing as a child.

When Moses was in the wilderness forty years, God called him. On the day Jesus wasbaptized, God the Father spoke from heaven saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased,” and the Holy Spirit descended like a dove upon him. (This also a picture of Mosesanointing Aaron as High priest, or second to Moses, and Moses was in the picture of God above Aaron, as Jesus is second to God the Father) Moses was in the wilderness twice once in Midian and second with Israel after they were delivered. Jesus also was called into the wilderness. Moses was tempted to become ruler of the known world, but wanted to be associated with his brethren. Jesus also was tempted to become the ruler of the world, but turned it down. Mosescame in God’s name “I am who I am” and Jesus also came in God’s name “I am”. Moses wrotethe law down by the instruction of God and made all the holy objects according to how God wanted it made. Jesus is the Word of God, He wrote the scriptures, and they are His words, which speak of Him. Jesus is the fulfillment of the law. The High priests, the tabernacle, the sacrifices, were all types of Jesus Christ. When Israel rejected Moses, Israel considered him

dead, but Moses came back alive to them. The same thing with Israel crucifying Jesus, he was dead and had risen.

Now some of these things, Moses has fulfilled, and has to be fulfilled, by Jesus. As Moses was considered dead and arrived alive, to save Israel out of Egypt, so Jesus, still thought dead by Israel, will deliver Israel from the world at the end. Moses could have brought Israel into the Promised Land, but he forfeited it by disobedience. So Joshua led them in. Jesus being the Greek name of the Hebrew name Joshua will bring Israel into the Promised Land. Moses preserved Israel in the land of Goshen, while the wrath of God was coming down on the rest ofEgypt. Jesus will preserve Israel through the wrath of God in the Great Tribulation or Jacob’sTrouble.
There are thirteen things which are similar to Moses by Jesus Christ. Many would say Jesus made these things come to pass, but how could Jesus make his birth, and his being called out of Egypt, or being a pleasing child happen on his own ability unless He is God?
Check these scriptures yourself and see how identical they are to each other. It is remarkable. Moses and Jesus from the descendant of Abraham: Exodus 1: Matthew 1:1;
