I John Marcus believe

  1. God Almighty who created the heaven and earth as according to scripture in Genesis 1, six literal days of creation and one day of rest.
  2. in the trinity, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, co-equal, co-eternal, all omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient.
  3. That God created man sinless and because of the fall in the garden with Adam and Eve we are in our fallen nature to sin. Genesis 3; Romans 3:23
  4. in the flood event according to Genesis 6-9
  5. Jesus Christ is 100% man and God, who in his incarnation was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, performed heard and unheard miracles, died and resurrected and now is in a glorified body, seated at the right hand of the Father, making intercession for us. 1 Timothy 2:4-5
  6. That Jesus came to the earth (Phil 2) became a servant to fulfill prophesy to mans need for a savior. His death in fulfillment to being the true Lamb of God fulfilling the types of sacrifice to remove our sin, (Leviticus) “For without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins (Hebrews 9:27)
  7. That the scriptures are 100% the authoritative Word of God, for doctrine, correction, for reproof, that the man of god maybe through furnished or completed unto good works 2Timothy 3:16,17
  8. That we are saved 100% by the work of Jesus Christ on the cross and his resurrection. By just believing, trusting on what Christ did for us (Ephesians 2:8,9; Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Romans 4;
  9. Born-Again is being born of the Spirit, the power to become the sons and daughters of God. A transformation of the heart to yield to Christ. John 3; John 1:12; Ezekiel 36:26, 27; 1 John 2:3-6
  10. Works can be an outward evidence to what Christ has done inward. The desire to love the Lord your God with all your heart soul mind and strength. The desire to pray, the feeding on the sincere milk of the Word. The desire to stay in the Apostles doctrine, prayer and fellowship Acts 2:42; James 2
  11. The Holy Spirit works to seal, regenerate, sanctify the believer in Christ Jesus. To comfort, to guide into all truth. Convicts the world of Sin, righteousness and judgment
  12. That the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit are for today, not that they have passed away because the New Testament has been complete. Acts 2; Acts 12 and 1 Corinthians 12-14.
  13. The evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is 1. Boldness to declare the Word of God; 2 the declaring the wonderful works of God; 3 the fruit of the Spirit LOVE
  14. In the literal return of Jesus Christ to establish his kingdom on earth.
  15. The rapture of the church, to receive rewards at the Bema seat and the marriage of the Lamb of God. To return with Christ to rule and reign with him
  16. The second death where the death and hell are thrown into the Lake of Fire and Satan is thrown in with no chain. The place of eternal judgment. Weeping and gnashing of teeth.

What I teach

  1. I teach the sufficiency of Christ in our lives. His word and his life within us to deal with our nature concerning sin, doubts, fears, depression. Concerning how we deal with others and the affairs we deal with in this world. Especially the need to LOVE.
  2. I do not teach self-esteem and self- love, for I believe these are in contradiction to scripture and the sufficiency in Christ. Self is focused on our ability other than Christ.
  3. I do not teach prosperity doctrine, the idea of sowing faith seeds for the benefiting of ourselves to wealth. Our wealth is in Christ not through the idea of prosperity like the world (prosperity being a sign of God with you)
  4. I do not teach replacement theology. The idea that Israel has been replaced by the church. I believe Israel has a major part to play in prophesy; and that God has a plan for Israel to return to Him as declared in the scriptures.
