  1. saves the world Preserves a remnant through the flood judgment, Jesus saves a remnant to return with him, to rule and reign in the millenium
  2. Preacher of righteousness, called man unto repentance for sin; 2Pe 2:5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
  3. was despised by the ungodly, like Jesus was despised by the religious
  4. those that rejected were to be judged by the flood, but with Christ judged by fire 
  5. Noah built an Ark, Christ builds a church
  6. Noah built the ark according to the commandment of God, Jesus builds his church by the will of his Father
  7. Noah took many trees to build the Ark, Jesus took a cross of trees, for cursed is the one who dies on a tree. Jesus is building his church by many trees of righteousness Isa 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
  8. Noah’s ark was tossed upon the rough waves, and yet was preserved. Jesus was tossed to be crucified to save the world, So the church of Christ is tossed upon the rough waves of the tempestuous world. 
  9. Though being tossed in the flood His family is saved. Through the tribulation, Jesus’ own people will be saved, Israel.
  10. Noah is the great repairer of the world for through his descendants they populated the earth; Jesus is the great and glorious repairer of the earth for it is his church that will populate the new Jerusalem and earth
  11. Noah sent forth the dove to see if the waters have receded and the dove returned with an olive branch, Jesus has sent the H.S. the dove, who brings tidings that the wrath of God is appeased through Christ. John 16:   Mt 3:16
  12. First mention of the word of grace in the OT is with Noah, Gen 6:8; Grace is the unmerited favor of God, but given the gift. A judge that gives mercy, but gives a gift upon that, The first mention in the New Testament is with Jesus Luke 2:40; John 1:14-17
