Let's take the 17th amendment first as the states willing surrendered their right to appoint senators to congress, for the affairs of the nation and world affairs, meaning no power to have a say concerning anything anymore for the state. then put to vote by the people who do not see all the needs of the states or the affairs of the world.

When the Federal Income tax was started in 1913 it was promised never to go over 7% but within 4 years the highest rate was 77%, then lowered by Hardy and Coolidge to 25% in 1925 and then during FDR rose to 63% in 1932 and 94% in 1944, which drove money and citizens out of the nation, to protect their wealth.

This is why we have a progressive tax. Where those who make more money are penalized to pay a greater percentage of tax, in the lie of it being "their fair share”, which is never enough for you to dictate.

Why wasn't the highest rate written into the Amendment? because the intent wasn't to keep the promise.

Your intent of allowing 18year olds to vote was because they lacked, knowledge, understanding and experience in how gov't is run. they are easily manipulated to vote for the wrong persons or laws, and by such has caused the weakest, controlled persons to be voted into office, with no understanding of law, Constitution or freedom, and have become pawns in this Deep State Cabal of telling Legislative, executive and judicial branches what and how to vote. There were anomalies in the election, I have voted in many and never saw an election which the people didn't know the winner by the end of night.
